If you like hummus, but without tahini, then this hummus recipe is for you. Many people don't like tahini, so this is a great recipe to make for them.
Ingredients (Serves 3)
1 can chickpeas, drained
1 lemon, juice of (about 1/4 cup)
1/4 cup olive oil
1 clove garlic
1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
In a food processor, blend all ingredients together until smooth and cream.
Chill in a covered container.
Garnish with parsley.
Optional ingredient: add a small clove of garlic when you process this in the food processor.
Serve with pita bread, pita chips, or veggies.
Store in a airtight container for up to three days.
